Though you might not have been able to tell, we’ve been busy recently! Reko’s kangaroos and Salena’s buzzard came out of the storefronts they were inhabiting. Though we’re a little disappointed to walk down the mall without either of these eye-catching installations, we’re also psyched that both spaces are now successfully being rented by new tenants.
In other news, we’re installing new work by local artist Dave Moore downtown today at 101 East Market Street. Stop by around noon to watch the process and say hello! More updates and images to come…
Finally, we’re thrilled to be partnering with The Bridge PAI and The IX Complex to launch a mural design competition as part of the Charlottesville Mural Project. Local community members as well as artists around the world are invited to submit their design ideas for a mural that will be placed on a large wall facing Monticello Avenue in Downtown Charlottesville.
